Introducing Virtual Coaching

We’re excited to launch our new virtual coaching service where you can book in for a day or half day of personalised virtual (text and voice) coaching support to help you achieve your career or job search goals. Virtual coaching is perfect for anyone who needs access to an expert career coach but can’t commit to a longer term career coaching package. It’s also ideal for those on a limited budget.

With virtual coaching, you can book a timeslot to have access to our expert career coach to get help with anything to do with your career. Whether you need help with job search strategy or advice on how to set and achieve career goals, your coach will be available via a pre-booked timeslot to answer any questions you have and offer your professional career coaching support using text and voice communication. Rather than a video call (as is the case with our regular career coaching services), you will communicate with your career coach via WhatsApp using text and voice messages.

How Virtual Coaching works

Once you’ve booked your preferred timeslot, you will receive instructions on how to access your virtual coaching session. Virtual coaching happens in a WhatsApp environment where you can speak or type to your career coach during your designated timeslot. All you need is your phone or a computer to be able to type or speech-record your questions for your coach to answer during your session. No more than two people are granted access to the same session timeslot which guarantees a high level of access to your career coach during your session. Rather than a live voice or video call, you will be able to ask your career coach whatever career related question you like. You coach will respond either by text or voice message.

What level of technical skill will I need for virtual coaching?

Many people are already with using WhatsApp for messaging friends and family. In the WhatsApp platform, you can either type or use your voice to send messages. It’s up to you which you use and your choice might depend on your texting or typing skills. You can use WhatsApp on your phone or via the synched web app.

Is there anything I should do to prepare for a virtual coaching session?

Absolutely! There are some things you can do before your virtual coaching session to get the most out of your time. Think about what you need help with most. Write a list of any questions you have ready to ask your career coach. If you want help with your CV you can email it through ahead of time or send it through the WhatsApp platform during your session.

Familiarise yourself with the WhatsApp platform so that you feel confident in using it during your session. Virtual coaching is strictly text and voice message only so your career coach won’t be able to phone you.

Note: Virtual coaching isn’t for everyone. If your needs are complex you might be better suited to our regular career counselling and coaching services. If you’re unsure, get in touch to schedule a free discovery call and together we can decide the best option for you.
