How it all began

I founded CareerWorx in 2004 to provide high-quality, comprehensive career support for individuals and organisations. I was previously employed as a specialist career coach and consultant because of my qualifications, talents, and track record of success. However, I became frustrated and felt that I was merely helping people find quick and temporary fixes for their career challenges rather than sustainable solutions that would enable them to thrive.

As a career coach in private practice, I was finally able to utilise my full range of career counselling and coaching skills, bringing maximum value to my clients. The previous band-aid approach I was forced to take in earlier roles was replaced with evidence-based, proven strategies, and I was able to provide the carefully tailored, comprehensive support so many of my clients needed.

Since then, I’ve accumulated over 5,000 coaching hours, working with hundreds of clients in the UK and around the world to achieve successful, fulfilling careers they love. Over the years, I’ve partnered with other expert career coaches to deliver career development programmes, training and outplacement support with great success and lots of positive feedback. I also established a social enterprise to provide career support to under-served individuals in the UK, which was highly successful, attracting funding from local authorities, the Skills Funding Agency, and the EU.

CareerWorx has provided career support to people not just in the UK and across Europe, but in Latin & North America, Asia and Australia/NZ. Having lived and worked in Australia, the UK, Finland, France and Sweden, I understand what it’s like to be an expat or immigrant and the accompanying challenges. I’ve also worked with repatriate UK citizens, helping them restart their careers after living abroad.
