How it all began

In the early 2000s, I was working as a career coach and consultant, helping clients navigate job changes and career setbacks. But I kept noticing the same pattern: people would leave our sessions with a new CV or a plan for their next role, only to find themselves back at square one a year later, facing the same frustrations in a different job. It became clear that quick fixes weren’t enough. People didn’t just need a new job—they needed careers aligned with their values, and the clarity, skills and resilience to keep thriving through whatever came next.

So in 2004, I founded CareerWorx to do things differently: to help individuals and organisations build career strategies that last, not just solve today’s problem. Working independently finally let me draw on my full range of career counselling and coaching expertise, replacing the band-aid approach I’d been limited to before with evidence-based strategies and the tailored, in-depth support my clients had been missing all along.

Since then, I’ve accumulated over 5,000 coaching hours, working with hundreds of clients across the UK, Europe, the Americas, Asia and Australia/NZ to help them build successful, fulfilling careers they love. Having lived and worked in Australia, the UK, Finland, France and Sweden, I also bring firsthand insight into the challenges of building a career across borders and cultures—insight I draw on when supporting expats, immigrants and repatriates navigating similar transitions.

Over the years, I’ve also led career development programmes, training and outplacement support for organisations, drawing on a trusted network of expert coaches when larger projects call for it.

Whether you’re an individual seeking clarity in your next chapter, or an organisation looking to support your people through change, I bring the experience, insight and genuine care to help you and your team thrive.
